| The story behind this one is worth a quick telling. Near Elberton Georgia stands a monument designed to provide the people of Earth with a set of rules to follow to be used in the event of a word-wide natural disaster. Ten rules, in the eight most popular languages in the world. There on a hillside in Georgia, waiting for the time when they will be needed. At least that's what they are believed to be. I saw a show on the Discovery Channel called "Decoded" that talked all about these stones. It was so interesting that a friend of mine, Chris, and I decided to drive about four hours from where we live to see them. I have to admit, it was pretty interesting. I won't bore you with the details but I will tell you to look it up for yourself and see what it is all about. Thanks to the superb camera in the iPhone 4, I was actually able to pull off a rudimentary, kind of artistic shot. I know it's not what I usually post, but I hope you like it. |
